Agra

Jaipur

A five-hour drive brings you to the famed Pink City, known for its rich Rajasthani heritage and majestic palaces. On the way, you can stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital. Besides that, you visit Abhaneri, which you might recognise from Instagram as one of the largest step wells in India. Dinner that night is accompanied by a performance from local folk dancers. The next day is dedicated to Jaipur’s iconic palaces and forts: Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Amber Fort. Elephant rides are available at the latter. The day includes a visit to Jantar Mantar, a site consisting of thirteen astrological instruments from 1723 onwards. You will also be able to observe how the local handicrafts are made. You can also learn about their place in daily life. The tour concludes on the sixth day with the car journey back to Delhi.
